Cody Rhodes ‘Doing An Amazing Job Carrying WWE’ Says AEW Star WWE

Cody Rhodes is a “true megastar” in WWE and is doing an “amazing job carrying the company” according to AEW’s Dustin Rhodes.

With The American Nightmare leaving WrestleMania 40 as the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion (highlights below this news story), Rhodes has finally “finished the story”.

Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Dustin Rhodes has reflected on the success of his younger brother who left AEW in February 2022.

Cody Rhodes returned to WWE for his second run in the company at WrestleMania 38 in 2022, having previously worked there between 2006 (at the OVW developmental territory) and 2016.

Discussing the changes he’s seen in Cody Rhodes between his first run in WWE and his current one, Dustin Rhodes said:

“More wisdom, more business sense. He’s gotten very smart for his age in a short period of time.

“He studies. He’s a studier of the business, a studier of politics, a studier of all kinds of things. He studies his vocabulary.

“He uses such big words and that’s just not me. I’m like, what does that mean? I’ll look it up. Oh, that’s a good word, but I won’t ever f**king remember it.

“That’s what kind of sets us different. He wears suits all the time. I can’t. It’s just too hot. It’s just comfort for me.

“He’s everything. When you look at a true superstar or megastar, he is fitting that bill right now.

“He is doing an amazing job of carrying the company along with the great talent that are there, but right now, he can do no wrong.

“They’re pushing him to the moon and it doesn’t happen that much to people. It’s really good to see that a Rhodes is really getting there due in the business with WWE.”

Dustin Rhodes would also reveal that he didn’t consider leaving AEW to join Cody in 2022.

Following previous comments made by The Undertaker about the WWE Hall of Fame, Dustin also responded to the “kind words” in the interview with Chris Van Vliet.

Dustin Rhodes required stitches following his bloody match against Samoa Joe on the April 10 episode of AEW Dynamite.
