Former WWE Women’s Champion Layla has stated that she would love to have one more match against her former tag-team partner, Michelle McCool.

While Layla hasn’t wrestled since 2015, the women’s wrestling veteran has revealed that there is at least one more match she’d be interested in having.

Speaking with Denise Salcedo, Layla reflected some of her WWE highlights, including her match against Michelle McCool at Extreme Rules 2011.

Stating that she’d love to share the ring with McCool again, Layla said:

“I would love to do the Michelle McCool match. Wrestling our last match together, I loved that match, and would love to do that again just because it was such a great moment.”

Layla notably defeated McCool at the May 1, 2011 WWE Extreme Rules premium live event, which notably had “Loser Leaves WWE” and “No Disqualification” stipulations attached.

This bout marked McCool’s last in WWE for almost seven years, with the Hall of Famer ultimately returning for the 2018, 2022 and 2023 Royal Rumble matches, as well as the 20-woman Battle Royal at Evolution 2018.

Layla has stated on several occasions that she would return to WWE for a LayCool reunion with Michelle McCool. With these new comments, it appears that Layla would be willing to make a return to work with McCool in any capacity.

With Layla’s repeated enthusiasm for one more run with or against Michelle McCool, it would be cool to see WWE bring the duo in, even if their reunion comes as part of a future Royal Rumble match.
