An update has emerged on Jack Perry’s AEW contract status, with the former TNT Champion’s deal reportedly set to expire soon.

Recent reports have fuelled a lot of speculation about Jack Perry’s future, with Perry having last wrestled for AEW in late-May.

Bryan Alvarez now reports on Wrestling Observer Radio that Jack Perry is currently negotiating for a new deal with AEW.

Per Alvarez, Perry’s current AEW contract will expire “at any moment”. He went on to state that as of Sunday, June 14, Perry hadn’t signed a new deal with AEW.

Formerly “Jungle Boy”, Jack Perry is considered an AEW original, having wrestled for the company since the inaugural Double or Nothing event.

During the May 25, 2019 show, Perry competed in the 21-man Casino Battle Royale match which was ultimately won by Hangman Adam Page.

Jack Perry has held a number of championships during his time with AEW, notably becoming an AEW World Tag Team Champion alongside Luchasaurus in January 2022, and holding the gold for 161 days.

Singles titles Perry has held in AEW include the TNT, National and FTW titles, with the son of Luke Perry also winning the Casino Battle Royale at Double or Nothing 2021.

Perry is often grouped with MJF, Darby Allin and Sammy Guevara as the “Four Pillars of AEW”, an unofficial group of stars believed to be the future of the company back when MJF coined the term as an homage to AJPW’s Four Pillars of Heaven in 2021.

A multi-time champion and a “pillar” of AEW, Jack Perry is a name thoroughly intertwined with the history of AEW, so it’d effectively feel like an end of a major chapter if he was to leave the company.

Perry last wrestled on the May 27 Dynamite episode, losing to Mark Davis in the quarter finals of the Owen Hart Foundation tournament.
