New Cody Rhodes WWE Allies Revealed?

A new pair of WWE allies may have been revealed for Cody Rhodes as the American Nightmare continues to face off against Shinsuke Nakamura.

In the main event of tonight’s WWE Raw, Cody Rhodes was set to take on Shinsuke Nakamura, however the match didn’t end as Rhodes would have hoped.

Instead, near the presumed end of the bout, Shinsuke Nakamura got loose from Rhodes and sprayed him in the face red mist causing a disqualification.

While Rhodes was down and prone to a beatdown from Nakamura, the Creed Brothers ran out to make the save.

This marked the second time in the night Julius and Brutus Creed made a run-out to save a popular babyface, earlier doing the same for R-Truth.

The Creeds will challenge Judgment Day for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship next week.

While we may not know what the new year holds for Cody Rhodes, there are already plans at WWE Raw ‘Day 1’ for the brand’s top title.

In a backstage segment featuring Drew McIntyre meeting up with CM Punk for the first time on camera, McIntyre noted that he didn’t care about Punk’s presence or plans to win the Royal Rumble.

Instead, McIntyre already had secured a WWE Heavyweight Championship title shot on January 1, 2024 against Seth Rollins as confirmed by Adam Pearce.

Elsewhere on tonight’s Raw for CM Punk, an unfriendly welcome to the brand from Seth Rollins and a lukewarm one from the Judgment Day.

Also, a heartwarming on-screen reunion between CM Punk and Kofi Kingston that included Kingston needing to inform Punk that he was, in fact, no longer Jamaican in a nod to longtime WWE fans.
