WWE star Sheamus has returned to training after recently suffering a head injury during his ongoing in-ring hiatus.

With Sheamus having been out of action for seven months, fans were recently concerned for the Celtic Warrior following him revealing a graphic head injury.

Sheamus posted a photo earlier this month of a large bloody cut on the top of his head, which he captioned “gym fail”.

With Sheamus later taking to social media to share photos of himself receiving medical attention, the former WWE Champion has now revealed that he is back training again.

Sheamus has now taken to Twitter to share a photo of himself – with a bandaged head – in the Swiftkick MMA & Boxing gym. He also shared a video of him hitting pads with his trainer.

Sheamus has been out of action since November 2025 with a shoulder injury.

His most recent match saw him team with Rey Mysterio and John Cena against Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh on the November 17, 2025 Raw episode, in what would be Cena’s third-to-last match ahead of retirement.

The Irish star looked to be preparing for an in-ring return ahead of his unfortunate head injury, having shared photos with NXT’s Myles Borne, Hank Walker and Tank Ledger at the Performance Center at the beginning of June.

With the deepness of Sheamus’ head wound, it is possible that this latest injury significantly extends his hiatus, however no official timetable for Sheamus’ return or recovery has yet emerged.

The top priority for Sheamus will be a safe and healthy recovery, ahead of more details emerging on his status.
