Kurt Angle has called upon WWE to push a current star and former NXT Champion before it’s too late to get the best out of him.
Kurt Angle made the comment on the recent episode of his self-named podcast, talking about Bobby Roode.
Roode has been absent from WWE television since June 2022 due to injury with the last update saying he would be out for “quite some time.”
Looking towards his eventual return, Angle addressed the use of Roode, saying:
“They haven’t given him a chance yet. I know he was good in NXT. He was being pushed and utilized properly.
“Not in WWE, unfortunately for Bobby. I don’t know if they’re ever going to do it. That’s what really sucks.
“Yeah, because Bobby’s at the age now. I think he’s like, what? It’s mid-40s. So I don’t know if he can wrestle much longer, but I hope they do give him the push he deserves.”
Roode is a former SmackDown Tag Team Champoin with Dolph Ziggler and held the Raw Tag Team titles with both Ziggler and Chad Gable.
Along with the NXT Championship, he has also held the WWE United States Championship.
Road Dogg has previously named Roode as one of a number of WWE stars that were not well utilized.
