Sami Zayn will reach a milestone with his upcoming match against JD McDonagh at WWE Crown Jewel on November 4, 2023.
The match will be on the pre-show for the event at the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
It will also mark the 900th match in Zayn’s WWE career, as noted by WrestleFeatures.
Zayn signed with WWE in January 2013 and would make his NXT debut in a non-wrestling capacity on February 13 of that year.
His first WWE match would be at an NXT live event in March under his real name before he would switch to Sami Zayn and make his television debut on the May 22 episode of NXT.
In his time in WWE so far, he has been NXT Champion, a three-tie WWE Intercontinental Champion and held both the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships with Kevin Owens.
Despite the relationship between WWE and Saudi Arabia starting in 2018, Zayn wouldn’t appear on a show there until Night of Champions in May 2023.
It was reported that he could appear at the May 2023 Premium Live Event as Saudi Arabia and Syria had resumed the work of diplomatic missions in both countries.
