A main roster WWE star has posted a heartfelt message to a brand new up-and-coming NXT star following their debut singles match victory on last night’s show (July 4, taped June 27).
After Kelani Jordan’s win over Tatum Paxley last night, Jordan’s on-screen mentor Dane Brooke took to social media to post a lovely message of congratulations to the former Michigan State gymnast on her win.
Brooke tweeted, while also taking a shot at current rival Cora Jade, saying:
I am SOOOO PROUD of you @kelani_wwe!!! I knew you could do it!
I have seen you undeniable talent & skills that will take you very far in @WWE @WWENXT along with your positive mindset!!
&@CoraJadeWWE– your right, gymnast do stick together!! You can’t even do a cartwheel
Jade’s reply to that was pretty simple:
God do you ever shut up
There has been a revolving door of main roster stars coming in and out of NXT recently, with Baron Corbin, Mustafa Ali and Brooke herself enjoying sustained runs on the brand while other top stars such as Seth Rollins have enjoyed one-off appearances to much success in the ratings for WWE.
The latest crossover seems to be interweaving with a storyline on Monday Night Raw as NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes called out the Judgment Day to appear on next week’s NXT.
While many main roster talents are appearing on Tuesday nights, a top NXT tandem may be set to go the other way after losing a high-stakes match on this week’s show – to find out more, click here.
