Wrestling Veteran ‘Pissed’ About Current WWE Star Using His Nickname WWE

Dutch Mantel isn’t happy with WWE and it all comes down to the use of the ‘Dirty’ word for Dominik Mysterio.

The Judgment Day member and ex-offender was recently revealed as having a new name, now going by ‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestlebinge, Dirty Dutch Mantel gave his thoughts on the name, saying:

“Hey, thanks, Paul. Thanks, Triple H. Thanks, Vince. Thanks, Endeavor.

“If you’re going to steal, at least why didn’t you put a call?

“Just a heads-up call. ‘Hey, we want to call him this because he (Dominik Mysterio) needs something.'”

He would go on to say that adding the prefix wasn’t going to benefit Mysterio, adding:

“No, he don’t need nothing. That Dirty is not going to help him a bit at all.”

Mantel used the “Dirty” nickname from 1980 and would use the name on the independent wrestling circuit.

Mysterio appeared on the July 11 episode of WWE NXT and challenged Wes Lee for the NXT North American Championship.

The match is set to take place on the July 18 episode of NXT as revealed in the video below this news story.

WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long reacted to Mantell’s belief that he should have been consulted, saying:

“Well, I look at it like this, man. Stay relevant. If somebody gets on that TV and says, ‘playa,’ you’re gonna think about Teddy Long. So I don’t care.

“If you could keep your name out there in the game of the name and stay relevant. It’s just that simple.”

Ric Flair had previously expressed his opinion about Becky Lynch using “The Man” as a prefix to her name in WWE.

The WWE Hall of Famer confirmed that he had a conversation to clear the air with Lynch and Seth Rollins at WWE Raw 30.
