Recent WWE Raw Match ‘Least Watched Main Event Ever’ WWE

The main event of the October 30 WWE Raw saw Sami Zayn facing Damian Priest of the Judgment Day and set an undesirable record for the show.

The aftermath of the match would further the story between Cody Rhodes and Damian Priest at WWE Crown Jewel on November 4, as can be seen from the video highlights below this news story.

Zayn would be announced as the opponent for JD McDonagh at the upcoming PLE in Saudi Arabia.

It had previously been reported that the October 30 episode of WWE Raw saw a drop in viewers from the previous week’s episode.

As noted in that report, it was the third lowest viewership of 2023 for the program against Week 8 of the NFL’s Monday Night Football season.

Dave Meltzer revealed that the episode also saw the lowest viewing numbers for a WWE Raw main event match.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer reported:

“One of the things Raw did set a record for is the Damian Priest and Sami Zayn match, which did 1.2 million viewers, was the least watched main event in the history of Raw, ever.

“But again, given the competition, it was what it was.”

The episode faced stiff competition from the NFL but also the MLB World Series.

WWE Raw saw the debut of the Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile which was reportedly well received backstage.

The reported high point of the show for viewers was the Miz TV segment with Intercontinental Champion Gunther.
