Popular Ex-WWE Star Returns To The Ring After Years Away WWE

Former WWE NXT Tag Team Champion Tyler Breeze has now made his return to the ring, after over two years out of action.

There had previously been a lot of speculation about Breeze’s wrestling future, with the popular star stepping away from the ring following his WWE exit.

Breeze returned to the ring for Next Generation Wrestling: Tennessee at the July 8 ‘Wrestle Wars’ independent event.

The Gorgeous one notably left the event with the NGW: TN Championship after defeating Matt Cross for the gold. You can view a photo of Breeze with his new title below.

This was Breeze’s first match since he and Dirty Dango (fka Fandango) defeated Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci (Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner) on the June 15, 2021 edition of NXT.

Breeze was let go by WWE later that month.

The former NXT Tag Team Champion has since returned to the company, appearing for the UpUpDownDown online brand.

It was recently reported that Breeze is under a contract to with WWE, specifically for the UpUpDownDown brand, and has been for ‘quite some time’.

One WWE source reportedly told Fightful that Breeze’s WWE deal does prevent him from appearing on AEW programming, however Breeze’s wrestling return suggests that he’s able to take independent bookings.
