A WWE star has sent a message of thanks to WWE’s Nick Khan and Triple H for allowing her the opportunity to wrestle outside of the company.

Ahead of her repackaging as Nattie on WWE screens in early 2026, former two-time world champion Natalya embarked on a rare run of wrestling appearances and bookings outside of WWE throughout 2025; making appearances in NWA, Reality of Wrestling and GCW’s Bloodsport.

Nattie has continued to make more appearances this year, as she wrestled former WWE star Shayna Baszler at Bloodsport XV in April, competed in a three-way at NWA 78, and, last week made an appearance at the Cauliflower Alley Club, where she became the first woman to receive the Lou Thesz award.

Speaking with Tommy Dreamer on The Hart Beat on Busted Open, Nattie explained how WWE President Nick Khan and Chief Content Officer Triple H helped these appearances come to be:

“I am able to do the indie shows and all the work I’m doing outside of WWE because Nick Khan is allowing me to do things that will cultivate my personal growth.

“I’ve said this before and it’s worth saying again, I would not be able to do NWA, Bloodsport, Reality of Wrestling, going to Cauliflower Alley and presenting Bret Hart with the big award there, I would not be able to do that because it’s outside stuff.

“I love Vince, but I would never have been able to do that with Vince because Vince is not gonna let me work for Bloodsport, he’s not going to let me work for GCW. Nick Khan has given me those opportunities.

“He and Triple H have green lit those opportunities and said ‘Go spread your wings, go do stuff that makes you feel alive. We’re proud of you, we have your back.’ There’s some other projects that I’m working that like it’s so cool that I can build them and have the support of WWE for that.

“So thank you Nick, thank you Hunter, because you guys have allowed me to do that which I know is almost unheard of.”

Nattie has been spending the Summer mixing it up with WWE’s up-and-coming superstars in NXT, and will be in action at this Sunday’s WWE Heatwave PLE in Edinburg, Texas when she takes on Jaida Parker in a submission match – someone she specifically requested to work with on the brand.
