‘We’d See A Revolution’ – WWE Champion Reflects On Motivation From The Undertaker

A WWE champion has suggested that motivation from The Undertaker could lead to a revolution in the roster, in the same way it for him.

The Undertaker currently serves in a producer capacity over in AAA, with the WWE Hall of Famer noting that he wants to “put out a product that is completely different from NXT.”

The comments would also see The Undertaker comment on the vision that he and Jeremy Borash had for the El Grande Americano vs Original El Grande Americano match and how Ludwig Kaiser and Chad Gable “took it to a whole different level”.

The culmination of a feud in AAA, Gable would comment on the motivation he received from The Undertaker and what that could mean if it was delivered to the main roster during a recent appearance on Huge Pop!, saying:

“I don’t want to volunteer The Undertaker for anything, but if he could give that same speech that he gave to me, I can’t even use the words he used in some of the speeches he gave to me to pull it out of me, but if he could give that to the main roster, and really get through to people, we’d see a revolution, man, cos it’s pretty great.”

Gable has previously stated that The Undertaker and Jeremy Borash helped him find himself during his AAA run, also calling his current incarnation “the best version”.

The mask vs. mask match, which took place AAA Noche De Los Grandes on May 30 and saw the end of Gable’s time as a masked competitor, with it later being revealed that Pete Dunne (Rayo Americano) was the producer.

Reaping The Rewards Of Success

With his time as The Original El Grande Americano now at an end, Chad Gable returned to the main roster a changed man, going on to defeat Penta for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam.

WWE Speed Championship aside, this marks the first time that Gable has held a singles championship since his debut in January 2015, having previously been a two-time Raw Tag Team Champion and one-time SmackDown Tag Team Champion.

Gable had all the tools at his disposal and was clearly seen as a capable competitor, yet it seemingly took a run in AAA for his true potential to be realized. Sidelined with an injury that saw Gable unable to compete and the El Grande Americano character switch to Kaiser, Gable has commented on the “impossibly perfect” chain of events that have led to his Intercontinental Championship win.

Hopefully, Gable will be WWE Intercontinental Champion for an ample run, with his first title defence (a victory over Rey Mysterio on the August 17 episode of Raw) now in the record books. After that, perhaps a world championship opportunity will come calling.
