A WWE star has received a lot of praise backstage after recently stepping up at a recent show.
At the WWE Superstar Spectacle event in India, Natalya ended up pulling double duty, with her scheduled for a Women’s World Championship match with Rhea Ripley, but also stepping in to face Zoey Stark after Becky Lynch was unable to travel to India for the show.
Becky was unable to travel for the show due to a tear in her passport, causing her to be removed from the show.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), Natalya received a lot of praise for stepping up for the show.
There were reportedly other options discussed, but WWE had limited female wrestlers scheduled to travel to the country.
Fightful notes that a Triple Threat between Natalya, Stark and Ripley was briefly considered, but Natalya eventually said she was willing to work twice on the show.
WWE higher ups that Fightful heard from put her over heavily for doing so, with one of them saying that it displayed leadership, and helped the company out of a bind.
Stark herself also recently received praise backstage in the company for her performances since coming up to the main roster.
