The Bella Twins have addressed the potential return of WWE Total Divas, discussing whether or not they’d like to be included in a reboot.

Last airing in December 2019, Total Divas followed the lives of members of the WWE women’s division inside and outside of the ring, following a reality television format.

Speaking on the Battleground Podcast, Nikki Bella noted that a potential return for Total Divas had been a talking point and that revealed her thoughts about being involved once again, saying:

“We’ve had conversations about it for years, about bringing it back.

“We’ve always pushed hard for that because it really helped the women, not only showcase what they can do in and out of the ring, but it gave our voices such a big platform.

“I feel like now, with what the women are doing, it’s a perfect time for it to be back, and to showcase what these women are doing, how they’re delivering. And I want to know what some of them are doing inside and outside of the ring.

“If they were to call, we are back right now, so it might be a yes.”

Nikki would take a deeper dive in the conversations that she’s had, although would avoid identifying who the “we” involved has been, stating:

“We’ve talked about this, and I’ll be honest, I pushed hard for both Divas and Bellas in their own ways to come back, because I do feel like they’re different shows than Unreal. We’re more a docu-soap, and they’re more documentary-based.

“I do feel like, because with the girls, there’s different groups, and they all have fun, and then it’s competitive, and there is drama.”

Brie would weigh in, noting that the connection it offers the featured stars with an eager fanbase, saying:

“And it was so great too for fans to connect with us in our personal lives, then just to know our backstories, and then when they saw us go out to the ring, I felt like they appreciated more, knowing the hard times we were going though, and how we pull it together to walk through gorilla and get to that ring.

“I think it’s a miss if they don’t do it. There are so many girls I know that would love to do it, it would be fun to watch.”

Total Divas aired on E! Television for nine seasons, running from July 2013 until December 2019.

A Product Of Its Time, Renewed?

One of a number of WWE reality shows, Total Divas existed in the same atmosphere as Total Bellas and Miz & Mrs, charting the trials and tribulations of stars inside and outside the ring.

Total Divas is a series that still lives on in the hearts of members of the WWE women’s roster, with Maxxine Dupri sharing her hope that the show would be making a return. New stars aside, the current roster sees The Bella Twins, Paige, Natalya, Naomi, Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax all as Total Divas alumni.

With The Bella Twins both back in WWE, and Brie holding the Women’s Tag Team Championship with Paige, who made her return at WrestleMania 42 this year, it could be argued that there’s a prime opportunity to recapture the lightning that was Total Divas, with new stars added to the mix.

Beyond on-screen feuds, giving fans the opportunity to see their favorites in a new setting could be a way to elevate their status, creating new storylines and rivalries to boot.

The women’s revolution in WWE has shifted the way that the division is seen on television, taking it far from the era that saw The Miz recently comment on Maryse’s success despite limited screen time.

While the need for Total Divas may have changed, the success of WWE Unreal on Netflix, as a behind-the-scenes series, should not be undervalued. There’s clearly a market for reality television, even in 2026, and it would be a missed opportunity to tap into that audience.
