Just after WrestleMania, it was reported that Jimmy Uso had suffered a knee injury and would likely be out of the ring for nine months. We now have an update on when the SmackDown star is expected to return.
While speaking with ProSieben MAXX, Jey Uso revealed that his brother Jimmy is going to be returning to WWE within the next two months. This would fit with the timeframe that Jimmy was originally slated to be out for.
“Definitely soon. January/February I’m going to say. He’s doing good, Uce. You know he’s been watching me every week. Inspiring him. You know he’s calling me after every SmackDown telling me what I did wrong, what was dope, just everything being a brother, man. I just can’t wait to have him out her on the road with.
We have seen Jimmy Uso at both Clash of Champions and Hell in a Cell during both of his brother Jey’s fantastic Universal Championship matches with their real-life cousin, Roman Reigns.
It is widely expected that Roman Reigns is going to recruit Jimmy Uso to his heel faction on SmackDown upon his return to TV in early-2021. It has even been reported that this is in the works.
