Jerry “The King” Lawler has suggested a WWE Hall of Famer to make a shock return for an upcoming match on SmackDown.
Speaking on last Friday’s Talking Smack episode, Lawler talked about the six-man tag team match with Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston teaming with a mystery opponent to face The Brawling Brutes.
The WWE Hall of Famer brought up former six-time world champion Booker T as an option for The New Day to call to battle Sheamus, Ridge Holland and Butch.
Lawler said:
“I’ve got a person in mind that they [Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston] might give a call to. Get him out of retirement — call on Booker T. He’s a brawler himself. Bring Booker T in, team him with The New Day, and what a team that would be to go against The Brawling Brutes.”
Xavier Woods was jumped by The Brawling Brutes on last Friday’s SmackDown following his win over Butch with Kofi Kingston away for the week.
The numbers’ game has been in favor of Sheamus, Ridge Holland and Butch since Big E’s neck injury, so this is why Woods challenged them to the trios contest this Friday.
