WWE made a lot of NXT fans happy at the end of this week’s NXT 2.0 show, when a video package aired showing the evolution of the NXT brand, ending with a shot of the new white and gold logo, seemingly returning more to NXT’s roots.
WWE has not announced when the change over will happen, but the company taped the next two weeks of NXT television, which may well be the final episodes of 2.0 before the changeover. You can see the results of next week’s show here.
Along with the return of Black and Gold, fans have speculated whether or that means the TakeOver name for NXT specials will be back alongside it.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), the changes to NXT have been brought on by the new WWE regime, and while it is still not known what exactly the changes will entail, Takeover events are set to return.
Specifically Fightful notes that the Halloween Havoc event, which is internally slated for October 22, is listed as a premium live event. Most NXT specials of the 2.0 era have ended up taking place on television.
Both prior NXT Halloween Havoc events have taken place on television.
