The real reason why MVP didn’t travel to Saudi Arabia for WWE Crown Jewel has been revealed.
Despite playing a key role in the build for Omos vs Braun Strowman, MVP will not accompany Omos to the ring for his battle against the Monster Among Men.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), MVP is a former muslim turned atheist, which is punishable in Saudi Arabia.
MVP has also previously confirmed that because of his criminal record, his international appearances are subject to background checks and special permits he needs to travel.
On the November 4 edition of SmackDown, Strowman dropped MVP with three powerslams. Fightful confirmed that this spot was intended to give a reason for MVP’s absence at the November 5 premium live event.
The full producer list for every match at the upcoming premium live event has been revealed, which you can view at this link.

As previously reported, the Wall Street Journal published a report detailing Saudi Arabia sharing intelligence of a warning of imminent attack from Iran in the country. Fightful Select (subscription required) now reports that WWE remains on ‘high alert’ amid attack concerns.
