An AEW name and an ROH veteran were both at IMPACT Wrestling’s No Surrender according to a recent backstage report.
Fightful Select (subscription required) revealed that Scorpio Sky, who hasn’t wrestled on AEW television since summer 2022 but has been cleared to return for “several months” was backstage at the show.
It was reported, in November 2022, that Scorpio Sky was cleared to return from his leg injury although AEW had no creative plans for the former AEW TNT Champion.
His former tag team partner Frankie Kazarian is a current member of the IMPACT Wrestling roster.
Kazarian previously spoke about feeling “undervalued” during his time in AEW.
Gail Kim was unsure that Kazarian would return to IMPACT Wrestling until his promo at Hard to Kill on January 13 2023.
Another name that was backstage at No Surrender is Ring of Honor veteran Sledge, who is local to the area.
According to the report, he has “gotten in insane shape to start 2023” and remains a member of the ROH roster following Tony Khan’s acquisition of the company.
