At WWE Clash In Italy 2026, Santino Marella made his return to the company as a special invited guest in the crowd.

Former WWE stars showing up at premium live events has become a tradition as of late and could continue at Night of Champions 2026.

With the upcoming PLE from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, there could be more former names from the past who show up to appear at Night of Champions 2026 on June 27.

Here are six former WWE stars who could potentially return at Night of Champions 2026.

6. Enzo Amore & Big Cass

Enzo Amore is a former WWE Cruiserweight Champion, and Big Cass (Big Bill) is a former AEW World Tag Team Champion

Considering there were recent releases and departures in the past few months, WWE is looking to rebuild its tag team division.

Reports have indicated that WWE was looking to bring in some tag teams to help to bolster their ranks.

This led to the news that Enzo Amore was in talks with the company for a return, while his former tag team partner Big Bill will soon become a free agent when his AEW contract expires soon.

The WWE Night of Champions 2026 premium live event might see Enzo and Big Cass reunite and make their return together to become top contenders in the tag team scene moving forward.

5. Carmella

Speaking of Enzo Amore and Big Cass, Carmella was a major part of their act during their time on the WWE NXT brand.

The former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion departed the company in early 2025 after her contract expired.

Since then, Mella has remained a free agent and doesn’t seem interested in wrestling for any other company.

Whether it be reuniting with Enzo and Cass or as a solo star in the women’s division, Carmella’s return would grab headlines if she decided to show up at WWE Night of Champions 2026.

4. Lita

WWE legend Lita

Lita was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014

Back in 2023, Lita made her return to the company and immediately made an impact alongside Becky Lynch, winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

However, this return did not last long before she was attacked backstage and hasn’t been back in an active role on WWE TV since then.

Lita is one of the biggest female stars in WWE history and someone who always garners attention whenever she appears in the promotion.

The WWE Night of Champions 2026 show could see Lita coming in as a guest or even interacting with some of the current female talent on the company’s roster right now.

3. Trish Stratus

Speaking of Lita, Trish Stratus is still the WWE Hall of Famer’s greatest rival in addition to being a close friend.

Stratus has been no stranger to WWE programming over the past few years in a multitude of roles.

Whether it be as an in-ring performer, special guest host or just watching the action from the crowd, Stratus is a familiar face who always gets the attention from the fans.

The seven-time WWE Women’s Champion could be on hand to present the winner of the Queen of the Ring tournament with their crown at WWE Night of Champions 2026 as one of the representatives of women’s wrestling over the years.

2. Donovan Dijak

Dijak was signed to WWE from August 2017 to June 2024

Since leaving WWE in 2024, Donovan Dijak has once again established himself as one of the top names on the independent scene.

Most notably in Major League Wrestling, Dijak has proven that he can be a top star for any promotion in the world.

With WWE looking to fill in gaps in their roster, the company would be hard-pressed to find another star who is more versatile and can play any position like Dijak.

Considering he has shown what he can do as a singles talent or even in a tag team since his WWE exit, Dijak would be an excellent addition to bring in for the upcoming Night of Champions 2026 event.

1. Baron Corbin

Rumors have been swirling when it comes to Baron Corbin potentially making his way to WWE sometime in the future.

Since departing WWE in November 2024, Corbin has been someone who has successfully reinvented himself as Bishop Dyer.

From his time in MLW to traveling to different indies like Maple Leaf Pro and GCW, Dyer has showcased that he can be a valuable asset to any company in the world.

Dyer becoming Baron Corbin once more would be a significant acquisition that WWE knows it can count on to deliver, regardless of whatever place on the card he is needed – and he could make for a major return at Night of Champions 2026.
