After a year and a half away from the company, recent reports are suggesting that we could soon be seeing the WWE return of Baron Corbin.

While nothing is confirmed, Corbin’s return is being “heavily talked about,” and it feels like we could see the former United States Champion and Mr. Money in the Bank get another shot in WWE soon.

Here are seven potential Baron Corbin WWE return plans.

7. Resurrected By Danhausen

Following the successful use of his cloning machine at WWE Backlash, Danhausen began work on his “next masterpiece” on the Friday, May 15 episode of SmackDown.

In the segment (see above), Danhausen is seemingly working on resurrecting a mystery deceased individual, who can be seen on a gurney. Danhausen confirmed that the individual was the “right guy” by checking his toe tag, but their identity was left a mystery.

While there’s every possibility that the Gingerbread Man could be who Danhausen is attempting to revive, given how much air time WWE have dedicated to the character in recent weeks, perhaps it could instead be an actual retiring former WWE star.

Why would Baron Corbin would be considered dead in WWE storyline? Who knows. But right now, it appears to be a a possible way for the company to reintroduce the “Lone Wolf” back to their programming.

6. Joining The Vision

Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker in WWE NXT

Baron Corbin & Bron Breakker were known as The Wolfdogs in WWE NXT and held the NXT Tag Team Championships together for 56 days in 2024

Rather than turning Baron Corbin into a comedy act upon his return, most fans will be hoping to see the company commit to giving him more of a serious push right out the gate.

While Corbin’s work as a babyface was a breath of fresh air in his final year in WWE, he is of course better known for being a heel, and who is currently the top heel faction on Raw? The Vision.

The Vision haven’t added any new members since Austin Theory in late 2025, but with Bronson Reed still on the shelf, Bron Breakker could look to an old friend to fill the gap.

Breakker and Corbin formed The Wolfdogs in WWE NXT in 2024 and the pair would win that year’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic before following that up with an NXT Tag Team Championship win. While Breakker is obviously more focused on singles gold now, Corbin would be a logical ally and someone who can help “The Unpredictable Badass” capture his first World Heavyweight Championship.

5. Returning To WWE NXT

In the Summer of 2023, Baron Corbin returned to his NXT roots and revitalized his career in WWE.

After spells as Happy Corbin and “The Modern Day Wrestling God,” Corbin was rebranded to a character far more in line with his “Lone Wolf” persona that saw him achieve success early in his WWE career.

As a heel and a babyface, Corbin’s time in NXT gave him a new lease of life in WWE. However, sadly this momentum did not carry over to the main roster upon his move to SmackDown in the 2024 WWE Draft.

Corbin returning to WWE NXT would give the brand an established star following the recent call-ups of Ethan Page, Ricky Saints and Joe Hendry, and provide either NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo or NXT North American Champion Myles Borne a potential new challenger.

4. Answers Oba Femi Open Challenge At WWE Clash In Italy 2026

Oba Femi on WWE Raw

Oba Femi began his Open Challenge with a win over Otis on the May 4 episode of Raw

Oba Femi’s next conquest after retiring Brock Lesnar at WWE WrestleMania 42 has been his weekly Oba Femi Open Challenge on Monday Night Raw.

Thus far we have seen Otis and Los Garza fall victim to “The Ruler,” and considering the latter had to be forced into competing, it appears as if very few WWE stars want to step up to the plate and challenge the dominant former two-time NXT Champion.

While it perhaps wouldn’t be the best way to reintroduce him as a credible threat, given that he’d have to lose, WWE could have Baron Corbin be one of Femi’s next opponents.

Corbin became quite a popular figure with the European crowds before his WWE release, so if an Oba Femi Open Challenge takes place in Turin for Clash in Italy, Corbin would be a popular choice for the spot.

3. Seeks To Win Second King Of The Ring Crown

In 2019 Baron Corbin defeated Chad Gable to become that year’s King of the Ring.

This saw the former Constable of WWE Raw rebranded to King Corbin, a moniker he would keep for almost two full years afterwards, until he lost his crown to Shinsuke Nakamura in June 2021.

Considering Corbin’s history with the tournament, WWE reintroducing him for this year’s King of the Ring would make a lot of sense and serve as solid motivation for his comeback.

While it’s unlikely he’d go all the way, Corbin having a strong run to the finals of the tournament would also establish him as a main event level player in WWE once again.

2. Next Trick Williams United States Championship Challenger

Former WWE star Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin defeated AJ Styles and Tye Dillinger (Shawn Spears) at Hell in a Cell 2017 to win the United States Title

Along with the 2019 King of the Ring, 2017 Men’s Money in the Bank and NXT Tag Team Championships, Baron Corbin’s WWE trophy cabinet also features the United States Title.

Winning the title from AJ Styles at WWE Hell in a Cell 2017 (in a match that also featured Tye Dillinger), Corbin’s run with the gold lasted 70 days before he dropped it to Dolph Ziggler.

Being the only main roster championship Corbin won during his WWE tenure, he could look to win it back upon his return to the company.

With Trick Williams not currently having a firm number one contender for his US Title, Corbin could return with a bang and lay out “Trick Willy” and his associate Lil Yachty with the End of Days.

1. Returns Alongside Dijak As The Skyscrapers

Former WWE stars Dijak and Bishop Dyer (Baron Corbin)

“The Skyscrapers” won the MLW World Tag Team Championship at Summer of the Beasts in June 2025

For almost an entire year now, Baron Corbin (now competing as Bishop Dyer) has held the Major League Wrestling Tag Team Championships along with fellow former WWE star Donovan Dijak.

Despite this, recent reports have suggested that Corbin is not under contract with MLW, so this run shouldn’t stand in the way of a potential WWE return.

While it’s likely that he and Dijak would have to drop their titles should that WWE return materialise, what if we saw not only Corbin return to the company, but Dijak as well?

With WWE’s tag team division not in the best shape on Raw or SmackDown, The Skyscrapers would be an exciting addition on either brand.
