WWE
At WWE WrestleMania 42 night two, Oba Femi defeated Brock Lesnar in what was the biggest victory of his career. After the match, Lesnar took off his gloves and boots to signal his apparent retirement from pro wrestling.
However, ‘The Beast Incarnate’ made his return to the company, attacking Oba Femi out of nowhere on the May 18 edition of WWE Raw.
This should lead to the final run of Brock’s career where he finishes off his time in WWE over the next few months.
Here are seven potential Brock Lesnar WWE retirement plans.
7. Three Match Series With Oba Femi Ending At WWE SummerSlam 2026
On the road to WrestleMania 42, Oba Femi simply dominated Brock Lesnar in a way that many fans have not seen throughout his career.
‘The Ruler’ put down Lesnar on many occasions and was never laid out by ‘The Beast’ during the buildup to Mania.
With Lesnar finally getting the better of his rival upon his return, it seems like this will lead to a Mania rematch with Femi at WWE Clash In Italy 2026.
Whether he wins or loses, this might lead to a three-match series between Brock and Oba that will culminate in Lesnar’s hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota at WWE SummerSlam 2026.
6. First Time Match Against Jacob Fatu
Over the past few months, fans have seen Jacob Fatu emerge as WWE’s next top star.
Returning to WWE at the start of 2026, Fatu immediately inserted himself into the Undisputed WWE Championship picture, feuding with both Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes.
Ever since WrestleMania 42, Fatu has kickstarted a feud with Roman Reigns over the World Heavyweight Championship.
This could lead to Fatu becoming the next big rival with Brock Lesnar during this potential final run of his career.
5. Challenging Cody Rhodes For The Undisputed WWE Championship
Back in 2023, Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar were embroiled in a rivalry that saw the two men battle on three occasions.
With Lesnar losing their final match at WWE SummerSlam 2023, ‘The Beast’ did something that he does not usually do and shook hands with Rhodes in a show of respect.
However, Lesnar’s latest return could see him decide that he wants one more run with championship gold around his waist.
Brock challenging Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship could make for a headline bout at any premium live event this year and might just be the right way to have him conclude his legendary career.
4. Battle With Bron Breakker For Paul Heyman
Bron Breakker has become one of the newest breakout stars in WWE today and a lot of that might be down to his alliance with Paul Heyman.
Becoming the leader of The Vision, Breakker recently picked up the biggest win of his career when he defeated Seth Rollins at WWE Backlash 2026.
With his association with Heyman, Breakker has garnered plenty of comparisons to Brock Lesnar over the past year.
Now that Lesnar is back and will reunite with ‘advocate,’ there could be a battle between the two Paul Heyman Guys as Brock battles with Bron in what could be the final bout of his career.
3. Rekindling Rivalry With CM Punk
Back at WWE SummerSlam 2013, Brock Lesnar defeated CM Punk in a No Holds Barred match.
In the past 13 years, Lesnar and Punk have not crossed paths for a variety of reasons.
Punk had a 10-year absence from WWE, while Lesnar has been even more of a part-time star and has taken some lengthy hiatuses from the company.
Lesnar finishing off his illustrious career by rekindling his rivalry with Punk in a showdown of two legends would be fitting in a lot of ways.
2. One Last Match With Roman Reigns For The World Heavyweight Championship
Another longtime rival of Brock Lesnar in his career has to be Roman Reigns. Over the course of the last decade, no one has defined this era of Lesnar’s career quite like ‘The OTC.’
From their battles at WrestleMania to competing over the WWE Universal Championship, Reigns and Lesnar have been one of the most enduring feuds in the company.
With it being four years since their rivalry concluded at WWE SummerSlam 2022, Lesnar might want to avenge that loss and face Reigns in 2026.
One last match with Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship might be the best way to put a bow on Lesnar’s era-defining run in WWE in a significant manner.
1. Facing GUNTHER At WWE SummerSlam 2026
Over the past few months, there have been a ton of rumors in regards to who Brock Lesnar might face in the final match of his career.
With many rumors and reports indicating that his career could end in his hometown of Minneapolis at WWE SummerSlam 2026, the name that has continuously come up is GUNTHER.
‘The Ring General’ has earned the moniker of ‘Career Killer’ by defeating Goldberg, John Cena and AJ Styles in the final matches of their legendary careers.
Lesnar facing GUNTHER at WWE SummerSlam 2026 would definitely garner attention and prove to be an iconic match to close out his career once and for all.
