Zeuxis vs. Aerial Monroe

The second match of the 2018 Mae Young Classic saw ‘Big Swole’ Aerial Monroe face the luchadora Zeuxis Lucero. Monroe, a US Air Force veteran, hyped up the crowd early. Her pride and charisma were all represented in her hair, so when Zeuxis made a move for it, things quickly became personal.

Monroe’s husband, Cedric Alexander, and their child were present at ringside for the match. One the bell rang both women were evenly matched. Zeuxis sported a colorful mask and white ring gear inspired by the God of War video game. The luchadora used her physical strength to come out on top by the match’s end, with a Spanish Fly as her finisher.

The match was solid, and got each competitor over well, but was probably the weakest of the night’s strong card. Both women were memorable, but the match itself didn’t have the particularly memorable spots that the night’s others did. Although maybe I’m just biased because the next was my match of the night.
