There are quite a few names on the TNA Wrestling roster who have a wide variety of characters to choose from.

Whether it be from their time in TNA or spending some of their career elsewhere, these stars going back to old characters could become a focal point of the company’s programming.

Over the next few weeks and months, fans could see these talents go back in time to bring their old selves back into the forefront.

Here are six potential TNA Wrestling stars to bring back old characters.

6. Elijah

Elijah previously wrestled as “Elias” in WWE.

Since signing with TNA Wrestling in February 2025, Elijah has become one of the most popular names on the roster today.

Coming to the ring adorned in a guitar, Elijah has continued to use elements of his “Drifter” character from his time in WWE.

However, fans could see Elijah embrace one of his other personas from the past in the near future.

Elijah becoming Elias, Ezekiel or someone related to his multi-personality character would be interesting to see how it translates in TNA Wrestling.

5. Rosemary

Rosemary is one of the longest tenured stars on the entire TNA Wrestling roster.

While she has remained one of the most feared and intimidated Knockouts in the company, Rosemary has always had a character that has stood out from the pack.

Over the past decade plus, Rosemary has been one of the most prominent stars in the TNA Knockouts division.

Now digging into her bag of tricks, Rosemary could go back to her Decay days to bring something from the past to make a brand new version of herself.

4. Frankie Kazarian

Ever since re-signing with TNA Wrestling in 2023, Frankie Kazarian has established himself as “The King of TNA.”

Considering all of his experience, Kazarian is another tenured and decorated talent that the company has to offer.

The former TNA World Champion has mostly used new variations of his character, but he might be able to rise the ranks to the top of the promotion by bringing back an older persona.

Whether it be “The Future” or something akin to his SCU character, there is a lot that can be accomplished with Kazarian if he were to bring back something from his past.

3. Mustafa Ali

Mustafa Ali returned to WWE to challenge for Ethan Page’s North American Title at NXT Showdown 2025.

Mustafa Ali has clearly become one of the most featured and highlighted talents on the TNA Wrestling roster right now.

Through a series of standout bouts and establishing Order 4 as a threat, Ali has made his mark on the current landscape of the promotion.

Ali has been competing on national television for the better part of the past decade and has some interesting characters that he could bring into play on TNA television.

Wanting to bring back his babyface persona, Ali could play the character that first put him on the map on WWE 205 Live and help his ascent to the TNA World Championship in the coming months.

TNA Wrestling stars Matt and Jeff Hardy were shown in the crowd at WWE SummerSlam 2025.

There are no bigger draws or more popular stars on the TNA Wrestling roster today than The Hardys.

Matt and Jeff Hardy have showcased their ability to create a connection with the audience at every turn of this run.

During their recent feud with The Righteous, The Hardys had to pull out the “Broken” version of themselves.

The Hardys going back to their WWE days with bringing an even older side of their personalities out will help to keep them directly in the limelight moving forward.

1. Nic Nemeth

When Nic Nemeth signed with TNA Wrestling in 2024, many fans believed it would not take him long to solidify himself as a top star.

In just six months. Nemeth would go on to become the TNA World Champion. Now two years later, he is once again holding the top prize in the promotion.

Now that he is enjoying a second reign with the gold, it may take embracing his past to keep Nemeth at the mountaintop in TNA Wrestling moving forward.

Nemeth becoming his “show-stealing” self from his days as Dolph Ziggler could become the best way to keep the former WWE World Champion right at the tippy top of TNA for much longer.
