8. Eric Bischoff vs. Shane McMahon (Summerslam 2003)
So this is a match between two non-workers who have a match. People like Shane and Bischoff are usually only good in matches with people who can carry them. Neither one of these two can do that, and while Bischoff’s karate background gives him the ability to give good-looking strikes, this match basically stopped every two minutes for someone to cut a promo, whether it was Eric Bischoff or Jonathan Coachman (who was on Bischoff’s side).
It was a really slow, stop-start match, that even had a moment where one of the worst Raw commentators at the moment, Jonathan Coachman, started commentating on the match in place of Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler. You could’ve had this match on Raw, and nothing would’ve been lost for this Summerslam card. This is the same card that had Brock Lesnar facing Kurt Angle in a WWE Title match by the way, just to give you a hint of how out of place this match was.
The only thing entertaining about this match was Eric Bischoff, who has amazing promo skills.
