Will Ospreay AEW World Championship Challenger Following All In London

On Sunday, August 30, Will Ospreay will compete in the biggest match of his career when he challenges Kenny Omega for the AEW World Title in the main event of AEW All In London 2026.

Ospreay winning the AEW World Championship in the Wembley Stadium main event would completely alter the entire landscape of the promotion and could bring any number of new challengers stepping up.

From former partners to longtime rivals, the contenders will be coming out of the woodwork to challenge Ospreay following the events of All In London this year.

Here are eight potential Will Ospreay AEW World Championship challengers following All In London.

8. Kenny Omega

At AEW Redemption 2026, Kenny Omega defeated Kevin Knight to retain the AEW World Championship.

After the match, Omega was jumped by The Death Riders, leading to Will Ospreay to come down to make the save and refuse to place a plastic bag over his friend’s head at the behest of Jon Moxley.

Following his decision to turn down and fight against The Death Riders, Ospreay handed the AEW World Title to Omega and posed with him to close the show before “The Cleaner” gave his friend the One Winged Angel.

With their showdown set for AEW All In London 2026, Ospreay beating Omega at Wembley Stadium could make things even more personal between these two and set up a rematch coming out of August 30.

7. Andrade El Idolo

Since returning to All Elite Wrestling at the start of 2026, Andrade El Idolo has been focused on earning a shot at the AEW World Championship.

While he has been unable to earn that opportunity, Andrade has picked up key wins over former AEW World Champions in Kenny Omega and Swerve Strickland.

Coming out of AEW All In London 2026, El Idolo should be at the front of the line to challenge the winner of Omega vs. Will Ospreay.

In what would be a first time meeting, Andrade would make for a compelling challenger for Ospreay following the AEW All In London pay-per-view.

6. Kyle Fletcher

After years of a close friendship with one another, Kyle Fletcher betrayed Will Ospreay by aligning with Don Callis and the Don Callis Family.

This led to Fletcher scoring the biggest win of his career when he overcame his mentor Ospreay at the AEW Full Gear 2024 pay-per-view.

Since their steel cage showdown at AEW Revolution 2025, Ospreay and Fletcher have not squared off in a singles match.

If Ospreay wins the AEW World Title at All In London 2026, Fletcher should be waiting for him to take down his former friend and claim the top prize in the promotion.

5. Swerve Strickland

At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2026, Will Ospreay defeated Swerve Strickland to win the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Finals.

With this win, Ospreay will now challenge Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship in the main event of All In London 2026.

Since then, fans have not seen Strickland appear on AEW television with no signs of his return at this time.

Considering how close he came to once again beating his former friend, Swerve might be the perfect first opponent for Ospreay if he walks out of Wembley Stadium with the AEW World Title.

4. Kazuchika Okada

Back in May, Kazuchika Okada stepped up to Darby Allin and challenged him for the AEW World Championship.

While he was scheduled to challenge Allin, Okada had a family emergency that forced him to miss this title bout and was replaced by Konosuke Takeshita.

Since then, “The Rainmaker” has not received his scheduled title match despite two champions being crowned after his announced bout.

Okada stepping up to challenge Will Ospreay would be fitting and call back to their lengthy history with one another dating back to their days in New Japan Pro Wrestling.

3. Darby Allin

Back in 2024, Darby Allin faced Will Ospreay for the first time in the Continental Classic tournament that year.

Allin was able to overcome Ospreay and score his biggest win of that year’s tournament.

Since then, Ospreay and Allin have fought on the same side of the war against Jon Moxley and The Death Riders on a few occasions.

Ospreay facing Darby in his first defense has all the makings of an instant classic that would set the tone for this entire AEW World Title reign.

2. MJF

Ahead of his match with Kenny Omega on the AEW Dynamite: Beach Break special, MJF got into an intense confrontation and pullapart brawl with Will Ospreay backstage.

This led to Ospreay getting himself involved to stop MJF from using the Dynamite Diamond Ring against Omega during their bout.

After inserting himself into MJF’s business, Ospreay may find himself in the line of fire with “The Devil” wanting to make his life a living hell.

MJF returning to AEW to initiate his revenge on Ospreay would make for an intriguing story and massive AEW World Title match on a pay-per-view down the line.

1. Jon Moxley

Over the past few months, fans have watched Jon Moxley and The Death Riders training and rebuilding Will Ospreay following his double fusion neck surgery last year.

Despite being the ones who broke his neck in the first place, Ospreay put his trust in The Death Riders, eventually joining the group after denying this would happen for months.

However, Moxley and The Death Riders’ attack and actions towards Kenny Omega caused Ospreay to turn on the group and show where his heart stands at AEW Redemption 2026.

Following his choice at Redemption, it feels like a no-brainer that Moxley will be waiting for Ospreay upon a win over Omega for the AEW World Championship after the All In London 2026 pay-per-view.
