Former WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman (Adam Scherr) has made a bold statement about his feud with Roman Reigns, reflecting on their in-ring rivalry.

One of Strowman’s first major singles feuds saw him come up against Roman Reigns, with the duo first meeting one-on-one at Fastlane 2017.

Their rivalry was an eventful one, with Strowman destroying sets and tipping ambulances en route to continuing the beatdown on the star we now call the Original Tribal Chief.

Speaking with Jonah of Rewind Recap Relive, Strowman stated that he’d put this feud up against any other rivalry in wrestling history.

Reflecting on his battles against Reigns, Strowman said:

“I’d put the feud I had with Roman Reigns through 2017, 18, 19 into 20 up against any feud in the history of the business and I’m going to say that it’s as good, of f**king better. I could be biased, but that’s my opinion.”

Strowman and Reigns’ last one-on-one encounter took place on the October 16, 2020 edition of SmackDown, with Reigns successfully defending his Universal Championship, which he’d go on to hold for 1316 days.

This title reign started in a match which notably featured Strowman, with Reigns defeating him and champion “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt in a three-way match at Payback 2020.

Reigns and Strowman’s careers were connected long before their singles feud, with the latter star’s second match on the main roster seeing him team with Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper against Chris Jericho, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns at Night of Champions 2015.

Strowman often declared “I’m not finished with you” during his beatdowns of Reigns. While Braun Strowman departed WWE in July 2025, his ongoing affiliation with the company – with WWE Studios producing his Everything on the Menu show – could lead to an in-ring return which would see him come face to face with the OTC once more.
