Former WWE Star Comments On Working With CM Punk Again In AEW AEW

A former WWE star has commented on working with CM Punk again in AEW.

When CM Punk signed with All Elite Wrestling in the summer of 2021, the “Second City Saint” joined a litany of stars he shared a locker room with previously in WWE.

One of the bigger stars and rivals of Punk during his time in WWE was Jeff Hardy. The two men shared heat with one another in and outside the squared circle following their rivalry in 2009.

Speaking with Muscle Man Malcolm at MCW Pro Wrestling’s Fan Jam event over the weekend, Hardy was asked if he would want to work with CM Punk again in AEW. He answered:

“Yeah, I haven’t thought about a match that much, I mean, I have a little bit, I just think what I’ve seen more than anything is there’s just a huge moment between me and CM Punk, because of the history alone.”

Hardy concluded by stating he could see a match with him and Punk down the line, saying:

“Ultimately, I could see us having another match and I think it would bizarre in the best of ways.”

Jeff Hardy is currently absent from AEW programming since the company started touring Canada in late June-early July.

Meanwhile, CM Punk recently returned to the company on the premiere episode of AEW Collision last month.

Punk is currently embroiled in a rivalry with Ricky Starks after he cheated to beat Punk to win the 2023 Men’s Owen Hart Cup.
