John Cena Sr Predicted Current WWE Name Would Become A Star

John Cena Sr has named a WWE star who he predicted would make it to the company, explaining why he knew they’d be successful.

The father of the 17-time world champion, John Cena Sr has worked with a number of notable names on the independent scene, during his time with Chaotic Wrestling.

Speaking with Chris Sanders on Best For Business, Cena recalled predicting that Kofi Kingston would end up in WWE shortly after meeting him.

When asked if there was anyone he instantly knew would become a star, John Cena Sr said:

“As a matter of fact, there was a young man that came in with his own thing. I remember saying to somebody, ‘Give that kid a year and he’s going to be in the (WWE).’

“That person said to me, ‘I don’t think he’s going anywhere.’ Well, Kofi Kingston’s a star.”

When asked if there was anything in particular which stood out about Kingston which made him so confident he’d have major success, Cena said:

“The thing that stood out about Kofi Kingston was the desire to succeed, and the desire to learn. He was always there, ‘What do you think?'”
