MJF suffered an injury during his match with Jay White at AEW Full Gear that saw him needing his hip popping back in after the event.
In the previous report on the injury, it was stated that MJF wouldn’t miss any television time.
The AEW World Champion would, however, be used in a non-wrestling capacity while he heals up.
Dave Meltzer has provided further details on MJF’s injury on Wrestling Observer Radio, saying:
“He’s dealing with a lot of pain (but) he’ll be ready for the pay-per-view, the December show in Nassau Coliseum.”

The Nassau Coliseum event would be AEW Worlds End, which is set to take place on December 30, 2023.
It was also recently reported that WWE sources believe MJF has ‘quietly re-signed with AEW.’
In the post-AEW Full Gear press conference, MJF became somewhat emotional, which drew criticism from a popular AEW star.
Britt Baker also raised some questions about the AEW Full Gear main event, and Adam Cole’s involvement with the headline match.
