Wendy Choo Wins WWE Evolve Women’s Championship WWE

Wendy Choo has been crowned the new WWE Evolve Women’s Champion during tonight’s episode of Evolve on Tubi.

She won tonight’s Eliminator Gauntlet match to win the vacant title that was announced a few weeks ago by WWE Evolve General Manager Timothy Thatcher.

In the gauntlet were Karmen Petrovic, Nikkita Lyons, PJ Vasa, Kali Armstrong, Wendy Choo, Laynie Luck, Tyra Mae Steele and Sloane Jacobs.

The Evolve Women’s Title was vacated by Kendal Grey in March after a few months of her working on both Evolve and NXT.

Grey had held the title for 146 days after winning it in September at Evolve Succession.

Prior to and Grey, the first ever Evolve Women’s Champion was Kali Armstrong, who became the inaugural champion in April and held the title for 140 days.

Armstrong has also made the move to the NXT roster, officially debuting this past Tuesday with a win against LFG season two winner Skylar Raye.

The Successful WWE Evolve To NXT Women’s Pipeline

There is already proven success with the women’s division and the talents who have moved from WWE Evolve to the NXT brand in recent months.

Kendal Grey has been an instant hit with many fans and pundits believing she has the potential – and already the in-ring aptitude – to become one of the very top women in WWE.

Meanwhile, Armstrong was noticeably very popular in her debut match against Raye earlier this week and is another name who has been touted as a potential WrestleMania main event level star in the future.

The women’s division remains stacked and has been noted on many occasions over the past year if not longer, seems to perhaps even have a brighter future than the men’s rosters in Evolve and NXT at the moment.
