Cody Rhodes Fulfills Yet Another WWE Fan’s Wish After 10 Years

Cody Rhodes continues to be the gift that keeps on giving for WWE as the company builds up to WrestleMania 40.

Recently, Rhodes made a wish come true for The Wrestling Club in New York City, with the group of students having their hotels and WrestleMania 40 tickets paid for.

On January 6, 2024, Rhodes also agreed to be the best man at a fan’s wedding during the WWE Live event in Spokane, Washington.

January 11 brought us yet another example of Rhodes’ generosity after a fan revealed a long-standing issue getting a prize from a WWE giveaway.

Despite DMing the WWE Twitter account a number of times since January 2014, it transpired that the fan hadn’t received his Tribute to the Troops dog tag set.

The fan shared screenshots from 2014, 2015 and 2017 with the message:

“Just realized this week marks 10 full years since I won @WWE’s Tribute to the Troops Holiday Giveaway.

“They still haven’t sent me my Tribute to the Troops dog tag set.

“They think I’ve forgotten. They think the issue has just gone away. They’re wrong. I will not stay silent.”

The tweet clearly caught the attention of Cody Rhodes, who replied via Twitter, writing:

“Check your DMs 😂”

The fan in question would, indeed, check his DM and reveal:

“Cody’s gonna finish his story this year.

“And so am I.

“😂”

He would later go on to post about the whole situation, noting the importance of what Rhodes did for The Wrestling Club, stating:

“My mentions are a dumpster fire oh my god.

“Anyway, Cody’s the absolute man – way more importantly for what he did for The Wrestling Club – rather than my 10-year-not-at-all-important (but justified ‼️) Twitter bit.

“Will post the results of today’s hilarity when I receive it. 😂”

Hopefully, he will receive his WWE Tribute to the Troops dog tags in due course and we’ll get to see the story finished.

Rhodes has recently addressed the competition between The Rock and CM Punk to be the main event at WrestleMania 40.
