WWE Star Received Praise Backstage For Big Spot In Recent Match

A WWE star reportedly received praise backstage following a big spot in a recent stipulation match on television.

This week’s NXT Roadblock special episode kicked off with a brutal ‘Asylum’ match between Joe Gacy and Dijak to blow off their bitter rivalry on the show.

The match saw weapons hung from the top of the cage, as well as a rather memorable Moonsault from the top of the cage by Dijak at the end of the bout.

The spot went viral on social media after the fact, and both men involved received praise following the show.

Per Fightful Select (subscription required), the Asylum match received a lot of praise backstage, with Dijak in particular also receiving a lot of praise for the Moonsault from the top.

Following the show, Dijak reflected on the match on social media, and how he is ‘eternally grateful’ to Triple H and Shawn Michaels for saving his WWE career.

Joe Gacy has since said that he ‘doesn’t know’ what’s next following the defeat.

The show also saw Asuka and Kairi Sane make their returns to NXT, defending the Women’s Tag Team Championship against NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria and Tatum Paxley.
