WWE Star Set For First Match In Nine Months

WWE Star Set For First Match In Nine Months WWE

WWE star Dakota Kai is set for her first match in over nine months even though she was just attacked on tonight’s February 23 SmackDown.

On tonight’s WWE SmackDown, taped a week ago, Dakota Kai was shown limping backstage along with General Manager Nick Aldis who was assisting her to get evaluated.

In the trainer’s room later, Kai was with Bayley and she claimed that Damage CTRL had jumped her – whether that’s true or not is unclear as the attack itself wasn’t shown.

Bayley felt guilty and thought she should have been in the locker room to protect Dakota but vowed to get revenge.

Dakota Kai would go on to be officially medically cleared and her first match in over nine months was announced.

Providing the match does happen, Kai will be teaming with Bayley against the Kabuki Warriors with IYO SKY at ringside on SmackDown next week.

With Dakota Kai’s mercurial past as a friend, it is hard to know whether or not in the end she will prove to be true to Bayley or also turn against her, and the whole idea she was injured by the other Damage CTRL members could turn out to be a ruse.

SmackDown aired a pre-taped edition due to the WWE Elimination Chamber premium live event coming up on Saturday, February 24.

WWE’s top stars have already been taking in the sights in Perth, Australia ahead of the big event as shown on the Elimination Chamber press event.

Elimination Chamber will air at 5am EST/2am PST on Peacock.
