Report: WWE Terminates Relationship Over ‘Breach Of Contract’ WWE

According to a new report, two weeks ago WWE terminated a relationship for breach of contract and now is seeking a further injunction.

According to Darren Rovell, a sports business reporter for Action Network, there has been a new report regarding an interesting WWE relationship.

Writing on Twitter, Rovell said:

“JUST IN: Two weeks ago, the WWE terminated Panini for breach of contract with 2+ years left.

“The WWE says Panini, which is still selling product, is now in violation and will seek an injunction.

“Fanatics, which had deal starting in ‘26, is expected to get rights immediately.”

Back in March 2023, Fanatics and WWE announced a long-term partnership, including transition of trading cards, writing in a press release:

“Fanatics Collectibles, the company’s trading cards and collectibles division, will also become the exclusive provider of licensed WWE physical and digital trading cards, which will once again bear the nostalgic Topps logo. Fanatics acquired the legendary 70-year-old Topps brand earlier this year, which previously held a long-term relationship with WWE. That deal will commence when WWE’s existing trading cards rights expire over the next few years.”

The acquisition of WWE by Endeavor has been completed at this time – but wasn’t completed two weeks ago when WWE reportedly terminated its deal with Panini – with the parent company merging two brands under their ownership, UFC and WWE into a new powerhouse, TKO Holdings.
