A lot of the recent news has surrounded potential outgoings from WWE, but for Kevin Owens, it looks like he’ll be heading in the opposite direction and returning to action for the company in the near future.
The former Universal Champion tweeted earlier today:

This tweet indicates that Owens is back training at the WWE Performance Center, having been sidelined since October to undergo double knee surgery. Side note: That match sounds like an absolute corker.
He was written off TV via a post-match attack by Bobby Lashley, in a segment that turned Owens babyface and Lashley heel.
Despite his progress, recent reports suggest that while Owens is likely to be cleared for a return before WrestleMania 35 this coming April, he is probably only going to return after the event for storyline reasons.
KO’s pal Sami Zayn, who was also written off TV via Bobby Lashley, recently returned to training at the Performance Center too, and it is highly speculated that the pair’s returns will coincide with each other, potentially making the comeback as a tag team act.
For those curious, the last time Owens had a match with Cole was at ROH Global Wars in May 2014, a match wherein Cole retained the ROH Championship.
