A rather unique match type was announced on NXT tonight to determine Johnny Gargano’s challenger at NXT Takeover: Stand & Deliver.
In a pre-tape on the show, NXT General Manager William Regal announced that next week there would be a 12 man battle royal featuring Kushida, Leon Ruff, Austin Theory, LA Knight, Tyler Rust, Jake Atlas, Bronson Reed, Dexter Lumis, Cameron Grimes, Roderick Strong, Isaiah Scott and Pete Dunne.
The final 6 competitors in the battle royal will face off in a Gauntlet Eliminator the following week. In the eliminator, the entry order of the competitors will be determined by the order they are eliminated from the Battle Royal, with a new wrestler entering the match every 3 minutes.
