According to a new report, former NXT UK star Killer Kelly is high on IMPACT Wrestling’s list of people they want to sign.
Killer Kelly worked IMPACT tapings last November, and according to Fightful Select, she impressed a number of people, because there was reportedly immediate interest in signing her to a contract.
Due to Kelly being Portuguese, there has been a level of complication due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, as she’s been unable to get an interview with the Portuguese Embassy.
The report reads:
“We’ve been told that IMPACT plans on bringing her over and had almost immediately. However, Portugal’s embassy had been closed for interviews and she was stuck overseas for almost half the year already after planning to be back in the states in January.”
It isn’t clear when IMPACT is hoping to bring her back to TV.
Kelly was signed to WWE between 2018 and 2020, making appearances in both the Women’s United Kingdom Championship tournament and the 2018 Mae Young Classic. She was released in January 2020.
