WWE appears to have nixed an announced match set for tonight’s edition of WrestleMania Raw.
It was previously announced that Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch will team with SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair on the show to face off against their respective WrestleMania 38 title challengers, Bianca Belair and Ronda Rousey.
WWE has since deleted the match announcements on social media, and hasn’t listed a preview for the bout on WWE.com.
Additionally, Rousey stated that she won’t be at Raw tonight during a Facebook gaming stream:
“I’m not going to be at Raw tomorrow (March 28). I think that’s like a mistake or something. if I was going to be at Raw tomorrow, I wouldn’t be here today (Sunday, March 27).”
It is currently unclear why this match was scrapped, or if the match was even officially listed for the show backstage.
Lynch and Flair have previously commented on their backstage heat with one another, which seemingly reached boiling point with their backstage confrontation in October 2021 following the infamous SmackDown title exchange segment.
Here’s the announced line-up for tonight’s show:
- Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns face-to-face
- The Miz vs. Rey Mysterio
- Raw Tag Team Champions RK-Bro vs. SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos
- Sasha Banks, Naomi, Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan vs. Queen Zelina, Carmella, Natalya & Shayna Baszler
