Cody Rhodes has kept his promise to send a fan to AEW Dynamite, despite signing with WWE in the months since.
In October 2021, the at-the-time AEW EVP sent condolences to Twitter user Sooplex following his brother’s passing, promising to send him and his nephew to an AEW show whenever the company returned to Philadelphia.
The user recently noted that his nephew had reminded him of this promise recently, with AEW slated to be in town at the end of the month.
Despite now being contracted to WWE, Rhodes indicated that he has still sorted tickets, telling the fan to check his DMs.
Rhodes’ AEW departure was officially announced on February 15. He made his WWE return at WrestleMania 38, unveiled as Seth Rollins’ mystery opponent.
The American Nightmare is scheduled to face Seth Rollins in a rematch at WrestleMania Backlash on May 8.
