Have we just had another WWE name change confirmed, this time for Tommaso Ciampa?
A Tweet from a WWE commentator seems to have just confirmed one of the few logical names changes for an NXT star headed to the main roster, Tommaso Ciampa.
According to a tweet from Kevin Raphael, a French language WWE commentator, there has been a name change for Tommaso Ciampa, tweeting (in both French and English):
“Tommaso Ciampa is now only Ciampa. Effective immediately.”
While Ciampa has already been seen on Monday Night Raw, being welcomed in a backstage segment with Kevin Owens and Ezekiel, he has also been widely speculated to join Edge’s new Brood-like faction.
Ciampa would be only one of several name changes for NXT stars headed to the main roster over the past few weeks including Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser (formerly Walter and Marcel Barthel) Raquel Rodriguez (formerly Raquel Gonzalez) and the much-discussed transition of Pete Dunne to his new character and name, Butch.
Tommaso Ciampa is now only Ciampa.
Effective immediately.
