Ring of Honor’s second pay-per-view under the helm of Tony Khan, Death Before Dishonor tonight (July 23) officially got under way with a giant match and title change!
Claudio Castagnoli bested Jonathan Gresham in the ROH Death Before Dishonor opener to win the ROH World Championship for the first time in his career.
While the event was set to feature a double main event, commentary explained that there was a coin toss to determine which match would open the show and which would close, explaining why Gresham vs. Castagnoli went on first.
Yet to be determined, whether or not Wheeler Yuta will also be bringing home gold for the Blackpool Combat Club when he defends his ROH Pure Championship later tonight against Jericho Appreciation Society’s Daniel Garcia.
ROH Death Before Dishonor is set to feature a stacked card already in progress! Still left to come –
- ROH World Tag Team Championship Match: 2 out of 3 falls: FTR (c) vs. The Briscoes
