AEW
On the May 13 edition of AEW Dynamite, the company will announce the brackets for the Men’s and Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
The winner of these tournaments will determine who will challenge for the AEW Men’s and Women’s World Titles at All In: London 2026.
With the brackets about to be announced, it will be very interesting who could potentially go on to Wembley Stadium this August.
Here are eight potential 2026 AEW Owen Hart Tournament winners.
8. Megan Bayne

Megan Bayne has only tasted one pinfall defeat in her AEW career
Since signing with All Elite Wrestling at the start of 2025, Megan Bayne has been a force to be reckoned with.
Going on an undefeated streak and then only losing one singles match in well over a year, Bayne has proven herself in both the singles and tag team scene.
Now holding the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships with Lena Kross in Divine Dominion, “The Megasus” might be in line to be a favorite in this year’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
Bayne winning the Owen could see her finally placed in the upper echelon of the AEW Women’s World Title picture and potentially winning the gold this summer at All In: London 2026.
7. Andrade El Idolo

Andrade El Idolo has yet to challenge for the AEW World Championship since his return to the promotion
After re-signing with AEW at the start of 2026, Andrade El Idolo has been placed in the main event scene of the company.
Joining the Don Callis Family, Andrade has proven himself to be a top star who can stand toe-to-toe with the main eventers in All Elite Wrestling right now.
Having picked up wins over Kenny Omega and Swerve Strickland, El Idolo has to be seen as someone who can beat whoever is in front of him come the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
After being denied an AEW World Title shot earlier this year, Andrade might have to win the Owen Hart Cup to finally earn that opportunity at the biggest show of the year.
6. Athena

Athena faced off against Mercedes Mone in a dream match during last year’s edition of the Owen Hart Tournament
Athena has reigned at the top of the Ring of Honor women’s division for well over three years now.
Holding the ROH Women’s World Championship for over 1,250 days now, Athena has put her name amongst some of the longest reigning champions in four decades.
“The Fallen Goddess” has been someone that fans have wanted to get more shine on AEW television.
Looking to get a solidified spot in the company, Athena might need to win the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament to finally earn the shot at the AEW Women’s World Title that she is more than deserving of.
5. Swerve Strickland

Swerve Strickland turned heel after his first-time-ever clash with Kenny Omega on AEW Dynamite back in February
2026 has been a very interesting year for Swerve Strickland so far after making his return at the end of 2025.
Turning heel in the midst of his rivalry with Kenny Omega, “The Most Dangerous Man in AEW” has found himself on the outside looking in for the AEW World Title picture.
While he became the number one contender and then lost that title shot to Omega, Strickland might have to go through the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament to get to this coveted title opportunity.
Showing just how dangerous he can be, Swerve winning the Owen Hart Cup feels appropriate and could set up a showdown with his longtime rival Darby Allin at AEW All In: London 2026.
4. Willow Nightingale

Willow Nightingale picked up the victory in the 2023 Owen Hart Foundation Tournament
Back in 2023, Willow Nightingale defeated Athena in the finals to win the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
Nightingale has been unable to win the AEW Women’s World Championship in every attempt she’s had over the four years in the company.
Despite her failures to win the top prize, Nightingale became the first woman to hold both the TBS Championship and AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship at the same time.
Now three years since her first win, Willow has everything it takes to become the first ever two-time Owen Hart Foundation Tournament winner and earn another shot at the world title at AEW All In: London 2026.
3. Kenny Omega

Kenny Omega is looking for one last AEW World Championship run following his defeat to MJF at AEW Dynasty
At AEW Dynasty 2026, MJF defeated Kenny Omega to retain the AEW World Championship.
Following this loss, Omega found himself doubting his ability to ever win the AEW World Title for a second time, but thanks to a pep talk from Will Ospreay, “The Cleaner” found some light at the end of the tunnel.
Omega might need to go through the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament to earn another opportunity at the top prize in All Elite Wrestling.
Going through the best of the best that AEW has to offer, Omega could be the perfect person to win the Owen Hart Cup and go on to headline All In: London 2026.
2. Mercedes Monè

Mercedes Mone scored the victory in last year’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament before losing to Toni Storm at AEW All In
At AEW Double Or Nothing 2025, Mercedes Monè defeated Jamie Hayter to win the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Finals.
Earning herself a shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship at All In: Texas 2025, Monè came up just short in a memorable showdown with “Timeless” Toni Storm.
Since then, “The CEO” set a record with holding 13 separate titles at one time, but she also failed to defeat Kris Statlander for the AEW Women’s World Title at Full Gear 2025 in her second attempt at the gold.
With the AEW Women’s World Championship being the one title to elude her, Monè might need to go through the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament for a second time to go on to win the top prize in the women’s division.
1. Will Ospreay

Will Ospreay came up short against ‘Hangman’ Adam Page in last year’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament final
Speaking of AEW Double Or Nothing 2025, the event saw Will Ospreay come up short against “Hangman” Adam Page in the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Finals.
Over the past year, Ospreay has been on a rollercoaster of emotions from undergoing career-threatening neck surgery to his miraculous recovery and return at AEW Revolution 2026.
Now a year on from that heart-breaking loss, Ospreay will see himself entering the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament for a second year in a row.
With AEW All In: London 2026 set to take place in his hometown of London, England at Wembley Stadium, Ospreay has to be viewed as the odds-on favorite to win this year’s Owen and headline the huge event this August.
