While WWE WrestleMania 42 is now firmly in the rear view, there could already be some preparation behind the scenes for next year’s Hall of Fame class.

Whether it be recently retired talent or stars from years gone by, next year’s Hall of Fame should celebrate a number of legends that fans will be excited to see.

Here are seven potential WWE Hall of Fame 2027 inductees.

7. Bam Bam Bigelow

During the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, the company usually honors various posthumous inductees.

Now known as the Legacy wing, the 2026 Hall of Fame saw the likes of Sid Vicious and Bad News Brown inducted. Next year, it should be time for WWE to pay tribute and officially induct Bam Bam Bigelow into the hallowed Halls.

Bigelow is considered one of the greatest big men in pro wrestling history thanks to his awe inspiring agility, his distinct look with the flames on his bald head and being a former ECW Heavyweight Champion.

For the WWE Hall of Fame 2027 Legacy wing, Bigelow feels like one of the bigger names who could finally be inducted.

6. Haku

There are several different legends who feel long overdue for a WWE Hall of Fame induction.

Haku is someone who has a lot of influence on several WWE stars on the roster today.

Being a legendary name part of the Samoan family dynasty, Haku is the father of Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga of The MFTs, while having passed down the Tongan Death Grip to Jacob Fatu.

With The Rock being part of the TKO Board of Directors, he may have some influence in WWE finally honoring Haku by inducting him into the Hall of Fame 2027.

5. Cyndi Lauper

Another regular inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame is at least one celebrity being honored during the ceremony.

In 2026, WWE inducted Dennis Rodman into the Hall of Fame for his contributions to WCW during the 1990s.

With next year’s ceremony, it feels like it could be the right time for Cyndi Lauper to be inducted after all these years.

Lauper being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame 2027 feels long overdue for her important role during the Rock and Wrestling era that introduced the wrestling world to WrestleMania and the business going mainstream in the 1980s.

4. The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels (WWE WrestleMania 25)

In 2025, the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony started to honor matches with its Immortal Moment inductee.

That year, Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Bret Hart at WWE WrestleMania 13 became the first Immortal Moment. Then in 2026, the company honored Hulk Hogan vs. Andre The Giant at WWE WrestleMania 3.

Considering the stars associated with the company, WWE has the opportunity to induct Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker into the Hall of Fame one more time.

Michaels vs. Undertaker at WWE WrestleMania 25 feels like the special kind of bout that should be included in the Immortal Moment inductees for the Hall of Fame.

3. Mickie James

WWE regularly honors at least one female talent from the past during the Hall of Fame ceremony.

While there are more than enough women’s wrestlers that should be inducted, Mickie James feels like one of those legends that would be a great honoree next year.

In 2025, James returned to the company as a Legend on the WWE LFG show.

As a former six-time WWE Women’s Champion, James is very deserving of being celebrated with a Hall of Fame induction next year in Saudi Arabia.

2. The Hardy Boyz (Matt & Jeff Hardy)

While most of the names on this list are either retired or are not active competitors, The Hardy Boyz are still going strong in the pro wrestling business.

Widely regarded as one of, if not, the greatest tag team in the history of the business, Matt and Jeff Hardy are still among the best duos in the industry right now.

Being part of the TNA Wrestling roster, The Hardys are the top draws and regularly compete in the ring whether it be in their home promotion or through the partnership with WWE.

The Hardy Boyz finally going into the WWE Hall of Fame would be a wonderful way to honor their contributions throughout the past four decades across multiple different promotions.

1. John Cena

In 2025, John Cena went on his iconic retirement tour that closed out his 23 year career in WWE.

Capping off his illustrious career, Cena retired with one final match against GUNTHER at the December 13 WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

“The Never Seen 17” is considered one of the greatest and legendary stars to ever step foot in a WWE ring.

Feeling like a worthy headliner for the WWE Hall of Fame 2027, Cena would be the star that next year’s ceremony is built around and would be a justified name to close out this special evening.
