WWE
On May 20, a new report from False Finish revealed that WWE was looking to rebuild their tag team division from within the company.
Looking to create new tandems from their current roster, WWE may start pairing up talent together that can bolster their tag ranks on both Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown.
With several tag teams being created, there could be some new duos about to make their first appearances as a unit.
Here are six new WWE tag teams to potentially debut soon.
6. Jacob Fatu & Royce Keys
Over the past few weeks, fans have witnessed the friendship between Jacob Fatu and Royce Keys.
Knowing each other from their time outside of WWE, Keys and Fatu have shown that they have a tight bond with one another.
Coming up on the west coast independent wrestling scene, Keys and Fatu could make for a formidable tag team.
While both competitors are proving their own as singles stars, WWE may create a monstrous pairing if Keys and Fatu become a tag team in the near future.
5. Ethan Page & Rusev
Over on Monday Night Raw, Ethan Page has become one of the new rising stars on the roster.
Getting called up to the main roster following WrestleMania 42, “All Ego” has established himself as a top contender for the Intercontinental Championship.
However, Page also formed an unlikely duo alongside Rusev and picked up a win over Penta and Je’Von Evans in tag team action on the May 4 episode of Monday Night Raw.
While both stars are looking to get their shot at the IC Title, there could be a duo formed between Page and Rusev moving forward.
4. Carmelo Hayes & Ilja Dragunov
Over the past few months, Carmelo Hayes and Ilja Dragunov were embroiled in a competitive rivalry over the United States Championship.
Along the way, Hayes and Dragunov also formed a tag team and picked up some wins together.
Now that both men have found themselves on the outside looking in for the US Title picture, Hayes and Dragunov may need to come together as a duo moving forward.
With Damian Priest and R-Truth holding the WWE Tag Team Championships, the pairing of Melo and “The Mad Dragon” would make for a daunting duo that could reach the top of the SmackDown tag team division.
3. Tiffany Stratton & Blake Monroe

Blake Monroe was called up from WWE NXT to SmackDown following WrestleMania 42
On the April 24 WWE SmackDown After WrestleMania 42, Tiffany Stratton defeated Giulia to win the WWE Women’s United States Championship.
Meanwhile, Blake Monroe has been called up to the main roster and is being teased in vignettes to build to her arrival on the Friday Night SmackDown brand.
Looking at their two characters, there are a lot of comparisons and similarities between Monroe and Stratton.
Seeing two potential top stars coming together to potentially compete for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, Stratton and Monroe feels like the kind of pairing that could dethrone Paige and Brie Bella sooner rather than later.
2. Sami Zayn & Johnny Gargano
Following WrestleMania 42, Sami Zayn has found himself at a crossroads of his career.
With the fans seemingly turning on him and a series of losses to Trick Williams, Zayn has shown a great deal of frustration due to the current state of his career.
As of late, Zayn has been finding an ear to listen to him venting his problems right now in Johnny Gargano.
With Gargano feeling down in the dumps following his own failures, it makes sense for Sami to look to the former NXT Champion as someone who would make for a perfect tag team partner right now.
1. Lucha Bros (Penta & Rey Fenix)

Penta debuted three months apart in WWE, with Penta arriving in January 2025 and Rey Fenix in April 2025
Ever since Penta and Rey Fenix signed with WWE in 2025, many fans have been wondering when the former AEW World Tag Team Champions would come together as a tandem once again.
The Lucha Bros have proven themselves to be one of the best and most impressive tag teams of this generation in every company they have appeared.
Whether it be All Elite Wrestling, Lucha Libre AAA or TNA Wrestling, Penta and Fenix have revolutionized tag team wrestling and could do the same thing in WWE.
While Penta is thriving as Intercontinental Champion and Fenix is struggling for TV time on SmackDown, WWE would be wise to bring The Lucha Bros together if they truly want to rebuild their tag team division in a meaningful way.
