WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has some high praise for R-Truth and what he’s been able to do throughout his career.

Truth is best known for his comedy role in WWE, which has seen him rise back to prominence over the past couple of years in the Judgment Day storyline and winning Tag Team Championships with The Miz and Damian Priest.

He’s so popular that when WWE decided to let him go last year, the backlash from fans and his colleagues was so much that the company ended up going back on its decision and keeping him around.

R-Truth’s Unique Spot On WWE TV

On the latest No-Contest Wrestling podcast episode, WWE Hall of Famer and NXT announcer Booker T praised Truth’s career and what he’s been able to do, noting that Truth essentially carved out his own spot on TV that nobody can take.

Booker said:

“When I hear someone say something negative about R-Truth and what he’s done throughout this career – this awesome, awesome career that he’s had – it really lets me know what people are. There’s a lot of miserable people out there that wish they could be in R-Truth’s spot more than anything.

“I give R-Truth so much credit for being able to parlay his success over so many years, decades of success inside that squared circle, on camera. Because this job is a hectic job, there’s a lot of people out there that just wish negative on you.

“R-Truth has done something that not too many people can do, and R-Truth created that on his own. He literally created a spot on the show that was made for him and him only.

“There’s not too many people that can do that. There’s not too many people that have the wherewithal and understanding and know-how to navigate this business the way R-Truth has. So I give that dude so much credit, I really do.”

Truth is one half of the current WWE Tag Team Champions alongside Damian Priest, having won the title from Tama Tonga and the recently released JC Mateo of the MFTs in March.

There aren’t many potential challengers for Truth and Priest on SmackDown right now as the tag team division has been stripped down in recent months, but we could see some call-ups like Hank Walker & Tank Ledger or Out The Mud coming in soon, and the rumored return of Enzo Amore and Big Cass to WWE as well.
