AEW Stars Returning At All In London 2026

This Sunday will see AEW put on their biggest pay-per-view event of the year when they take over London’s Wembley Stadium for All In.

Marking the third time AEW will be hosting the event at England’s national stadium, anticipations are high regarding what potential surprises could be in store for the fans in attendance in London and watching at home worldwide.

With several notable names absent from TV, we could potentially see some big returns take place during the show.

Here are five AEW stars potentially returning at All In London 2026.

5. Buddy Matthews

Earlier this month, Buddy Matthews confirmed he was now cleared to make his return to in-ring action after 18 months on the shelf with an ankle injury.

With his former stablemate Brody King now involved in a new trio alongside ‘Hangman’ Adam Page and Bandido, it’ll be interesting to see whether Matthews goes it alone upon his return or gets involved in a program with King.

Considering King is already booked in a defense of his, Page and Bandido’s AEW Trios Titles at All In however, it seems likelier that Matthews returns as a surprise entrant in this year’s Casino Gauntlet Match.

While it’s unlikely he would win the whole thing, a strong performance from Matthews could have him back in title contention heading towards the end of the year.

4. Dustin Rhodes

It has now been a year since Dustin Rhodes underwent double knee replacement surgery, with the 57-year-old’s last appearance being a violent TNT Championship match with Kyle Fletcher on the July 31, 2025 episode of AEW Collision.

While he remains off TV, a social media post ahead of this Sunday’s event has confirmed that he is in London ahead of All In.

Rhodes makes for another great candidate to return during the Casino Gauntlet Match, or alternatively, he could pick up his feud with Fletcher – who is set to defend his International Championship at Sunday’s event in a three-way against Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada.

Whatever the case, given how memorable last year’s All In was for Rhodes, a return at the same event this year would make for a special moment.

3. FTR

While certainly not out of action as long as our first two entrants, FTR’s absence from TV is among the most curious given recent reports regarding their contract status with AEW.

Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler are said to be approaching the option year in their contracts, and WWE reportedly have “preliminary interest” in bringing them back to the company.

With AEW’s tag team division reportedly set to receive a major boost with the arrival of The New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston) in London – joining the likes of Cope & Cage and The Young Bucks – many fans will be hoping that FTR stick around in the company and add to that roster.

Cope & Cage vs. The Young Bucks is one of the marquee matches taking place in London on Sunday, and while FTR have already tied up with both several times, it would not be a massive surprise to see them return and attack one of, or both after or during their match.

2. Samoa Joe

Like FTR, Samoa Joe was last seen on AEW TV at May’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view, with the ‘Samoan Submission Machine’ losing out to Will Ospreay in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

While he has been taking some time off to film the newest season of Twisted Metal, earlier this month Joe teased a return at All In London while speaking to Fightful, saying that the show was close to the end of production.

With Joe having history with plenty of names on the roster, there are several options for his comeback. However, much like many others on this list, the Casino Gauntlet offers the most straight forward plan.

With two AEW World Title runs under his belt already, Joe could return in the multi-man match with the aim of becoming a three-time champion.

1. Wardlow

No stranger to returning at London-based AEW pay-per-views, this time last year saw Wardlow make his long-awaited comeback to AEW programming when he aligned with the Don Callis Family at Forbidden Door 2025.

Unfortunately, Wardlow’s comeback came at a major cost, as the former three-time TNT Champion suffered a torn pectoral injury which then forced him onto the shelf once again.

Having sat on the sidelines for the entire past year, fans will be hoping that we see ‘Mr. Mayhem’ back in the fold once again soon, only this time for a sustained run.

Whether it be once again aligning with Don Callis, or getting some overdue payback on MJF in the Casino Gauntlet Match – Wardlow returning at All In London would be a welcome surprise.
