Over the past few weeks, All Elite Wrestling has had several duos go their separate ways.

At AEW Double Or Nothing 2026, Kyle Fletcher made his return and betrayed Konosuke Takeshita to put an end to Protoshita.

Meanwhile, Kevin Knight followed up his Double Or Nothing heel turn by attacking Speedball Mike Bailey to end JetSpeed on the May 27 edition of AEW Dynamite and Collision.

With these recent breakups, here are seven AEW tag teams potentially splitting up soon.

7. Davis & Doyle (Mark Davis & Jake Doyle)

At the start of 2026, Jake Doyle made his debut with All Elite Wrestling and immediately joined the Don Callis Family.

Upon becoming the newest member in the group, Doyle formed a tag team with Mark Davis.

Just when this duo became number one contenders and challenged FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Titles, Doyle suffered a torn biceps injury during this bout.

Now that he is back, Davis is solidified as a singles competitor and the current National Champion. This means that Doyle has had to start a new tandem with fellow Don Callis Family member, Brian Cage moving forward.

6. Paid In Full (Big Bill & Bryan Keith)

In 2024, Chris Jericho formed his latest stable called The Learning Tree, wanting to guide younger stars on the AEW roster.

Recruiting Big Bill first, Jericho’s faction became bigger when he also invited Bryan Keith into the group.

During the course of this faction, Bill and Keith formed their own tag team. After Jericho took a hiatus from All Elite Wrestling, Bill and BK continued on as a pairing and became known as Paid In Full.

With Bill reportedly scheduled to leave AEW when his contract expires soon, fans could see the end of Paid In Full without seeing a formal breakup.

5. The Matriarchy (Nick Wayne & Kip Sabian)

The Matriarchy came to be in the ashes of what was previously known as The Patriarchy with Christian Cage at the helm.

Cage wanted to start his own family and brought in Nick Wayne as well as Kip Sabian to form this group.

Since excommunicating Christian from his own stable, Wayne and Sabian have stayed associated, but they recently experienced some losses, including AR Fox defeating “The Prodigy” to win the ROH World TV Championship.

Upon his return from Japan after the Best of Super Juniors 33 tournament, Wayne should separate himself from Kip Sabian to stand on his own as a singles talent.

4. MIT (Athena & Billie Starkz)

Over the past three years, Athena has assembled her own group called MIT with her Minions being trained to emulate what she has accomplished.

In that same amount of time, “The Fallen Goddess” has become one of the most iconic champions in all of women’s wrestling today with an over 1,260-plus day reign as the Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion.

Under her guidance, Billie Starkz has become one of the fastest rising stars in ROH and was the inaugural ROH Women’s TV Champion.

After being used once again to help “The Forever ROH Women’s World Champion” retain her gold at Supercard of Honor, Starkz may have enough to split up from Athena once and for all.

3. Brodido (Brody King & Bandido)

In 2025, Bandido and Brody King came together to form a successful partnership with one another in Ring of Honor.

Winning the AEW World Tag Team Championships, Brodido went on a memorable run with the titles and defending them against anyone in the way, including The Young Bucks, JetSpeed and The Don Callis Family.

After losing the gold to FTR back at AEW Full Gear 2025, Bandido and Brody have stayed united and still are friends with one another.

Wanting to separate themselves as a solo star, Brody could choose to turn his back on Bandido and finally split up Brodido for good.

2. Triangle of Madness (Thekla & Sister of Sin)

Another pairing that came together in 2025 was Thekla and Sisters of Sin, who are now known as the Triangle of Madness.

While Julia Hart and Skye Blue have been a duo for a few years now, Thekla came into All Elite Wrestling and joined forces with the pairing to become a dominant force in the women’s division.

On the May 30 edition of AEW Collision, Thekla and Skye Blue teased some dissension with Blue taking part in the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament to earn a shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship.

“The Toxic Spider” separating herself from the Sisters of Sin would make a lot of sense due to her personality that seems more fitting to stand on her own moving forward.

1. ProtOkada (Kyle Fletcher & Kazuchika Okada)

As previously mentioned, Kyle Fletcher returned at AEW Double Or Nothing 2026 and betrayed Konosuke Takeshita following his win over Kazuchika Okada for the AEW International Championship.

During this post match attack, Fletcher and Okada shared a moment where they both went to pick up the International Title and stared down with one another.

This may have been teasing another split with Fletcher wanting the same title that Okada just lost to “The Alpha.”

Wanting to stand alone as the “chosen one” of The Don Callis Family, “The Protostar” may cut the other member who drove a wedge in the faction in Okada to split ProtOkada sooner rather than later.
