5. The Rock Graciously Steps Away

Something I don’t think many of us would have banked on hearing ever again is the chant of ‘Rocky Sucks’ ring out a WWE arena.

Rock is someone who puts a lot of work into his public image, and while some believe he would not care whether he was booed or not in WWE, maybe he does and this was just a horrible case of Rock reading the room entirely wrong.

Rock vs. Roman may be tainted from here on out, but it is a match I think most people have wanted to see at some point – just not at the expense of logical storytelling and a guy who has more than earned the Mania main event spot.

So maybe at the WrestleMania 40 press event on February 8, Rock will graciously step away from the match – perhaps even take on a guest referee/enforcer role instead. Unfortunately this seems very unlikely at this point, but you never know.
